چکیده
Abstract Tree bark is normally a side-stream product but by an integrated biorefinery approach, valuable compounds may be recovered and used to replace fossil-based products. Norway spruce was extracted obtain cellulose, which chemically treated produce cellulose oxalate (COX) homogenized yield nanocellulose. The nanocellulose Pickering emulsions with almond oil hexadecane as organic phases. COX from dissolving pulp study the effect of various raw materials on emulsifying properties. samples contained significant amount hemicelluloses, affected viscosity results. emulsion properties were phases aspect ratio. Emulsions using more stable than oil. Since ratio lower that pulp, better. It has been shown both promising substitute for petroleum-based emulsifiers surfactants. By utilizing bark, value-added products can produced economically beneficial industries in future their aim climate-neutral

Dissolving Pulp (alpha-cellulose) from Corn Stalk by Kraft Process
Corn stalk can be used as an alternative non-wood raw material to produce cellulosic dissolving grade pulp. In this work, the potential of corn stalk in the production of dissolving pulp (alpha-cellulose) was investigated. It was collect ed from a corn stalk farm of Kermanshah, Iran. The sequences of experimental work were: water and acid prehydrolysis at 160˚C for 30min, followed by Kraft pulp...

Commercial bamboo chips were evaluated as raw material for dissolving pulp production. The chips were auto-hydrolyzed (AH) and subsequently cooked by the NaOH/AQ process and bleached to full brightness with the O-CCE-D-(EP)-D-P sequence. The term CCE designates a cold caustic extraction stage. The bamboo chip chemistry (22.4% lignin, 19.5% xylans, 49.3% cellulose, 16.8% total extractives, and 1...
متن کاملA common fungal associate of the spruce bark beetle metabolizes the stilbene defenses of Norway spruce.
Norway spruce (Picea abies) forests suffer periodic fatal attacks by the bark beetle Ips typographus and its fungal associate, Ceratocystis polonica. Norway spruce protects itself against fungal and bark beetle invasion by the production of terpenoid resins, but it is unclear whether resins or other defenses are effective against the fungus. We investigated stilbenes, a group of phenolic compou...
متن کاملCharacterisation of water-soluble galactoglucomannans from Norway spruce wood and thermomechanical pulp
Different fractions of water-soluble polysaccharides, all composed mainly of acetyl-galactoglucomannans, from native Norway spruce wood and thermomechanical pulp were isolated and characterised. About 65% of the mannose units in the glucomannan backbone were acetylated at either the C-2 or C-3 positions in a ratio of 2.2:1.0. Mainly the mannose units, but also some glucose units, were also part...
متن کاملAcid hydrolysis of cellulosic fibres: Comparison of bleached kraft pulp, dissolving pulps and cotton textile cellulose.
The behaviour of different cellulosic fibres during acid hydrolysis has been investigated and the levelling-off degree of polymerisation (LODP) has been determined. The study included a bleached kraft pulp (both never-dried and once-dried) and two dissolving pulps (once-dried). Additionally, cotton cellulose from new cotton sheets and sheets discarded after long-time use was studied. Experiment...
